Life…

Life is not always perfect.

As things change it seems that friends change right along with it.

It’s always hard when the people you felt were there for you in one situation are suddenly not there for you in another.

Look for the light at the end of the tunnel.  It can come in so many shapes and forms.

For me, it comes in reconnecting with friends who were sadly more background music in my life over the past year.

Now they are the main act.

And that to me is wonderful light at the end of the dark tunnel.

Dear Amanda, make things even better in 2010!

  • Read 25 books this year!
  • Continue in making me the healthiest me I can be!  I am going to start a family later in life than some and I want to be healthy, not only for these upcoming pregnancies, but so that I also have the energy to keep up with and enjoy my children!
  • Drink more water.
  • You are too young to lay around all the time.  Get out and have more adventures.  Travel.  Enjoy your girlfriends, family, and fiance!  And pups of course!
  • Yet still enjoy those quiet moments and just relax. :)
  • Be supportive of Dan and his dreams and ambitions.  Realize that soon he may be in charge of a lot at work and at home, and be sure to thank him lots!
  • Determine future career goals.  Don’t let your future job loss prevent you from working your butt off at the job right now!  Continue to do work you are proud of and learn, learn, learn!  The things you learn could potentially help you in a future job.
  • Don’t forget those who helped you become the person you are.  Spend quality time with these people.
  • Try new recipes.
  • Be honest and realize that just because people do bad things does not mean they are bad people.  Give people breaks.  God knows you could use that from others some times.
  • Enjoy every moment of wedding planning!

2009 was amazing ( I still can’t get over being a fiancee!).  So excited for this year (the year I become a wife!)

And sometimes we learn something new about the past that changes everything we know about the present.

That line from the previous quote I posted is haunting me.  I am trying to shake it off.  But it fits my life so well right now.  I found out about something that occured in the past and has changed not only how I currently feel about these people, but is making me question my entire relationship with these people.

Sigh, shaking it off, shaking it off.  Love your friends for who they are.  Don’t try to change them.  If you don’t like them, let them go.  But please everyone, don’t be hurtful or think or say cruel things.  It’s something we can all work on.
