Randomness…

  • I have been an awful blogger lately. :(  I apologize; I love blogging but with a lot of things on my plate something had to go.  Promise to get back to regular blogging soon!
  • I officially started graduate school this week to work on getting my MBA.  Woot!  The drive to Des Moines twice a week for class will most likely get tiring but so far so good. :)
  • I get married in 2 weeks!  Crazy!!!
  • I had my final dress fitting today.  It looks perfect.
  • Heading to Chicago to visit my sister for the Labor Day weekend.  Can’t wait!
  • Work has been BUSY!
  • Thank goodness I love chaos.  Life is beyond chaotic right now.

That’s all.  How is everyone else doing?

Reality Check

You know what makes going back to school seem much more real?

Purchasing textbooks.

And seeing one of the classes syllabus.

Woah.

Back to School

I briefly mentioned last week that “I am going to Grad school!”  That is right, after that awful test (ugh, I hated the GMAT) my scores, along with my essays, application, and references, were enough to get me accepted.

So where am I going?  Iowa State University to get my MBA. I know I will get backlash for this but whatever, I liked the program the best.  It fit me well.  So shut up all you people who can’t get over the whole Iowa vs ISU stuff.

So starting August (yes, that is right, weeks before the wedding) I will begin taking two classes.  I am actually very excited about it and have this  urge to go out and buy a new backpack, school supplies, and a laptop.  I somewhat missed learning and am excited to work my brain a little harder.

PS: In 6 months when I am beyond stressed and complaining about school, please remind me of the initial happy thoughts I had. :)

GMAT

So unfortunately part of getting into graduate school and starting my MBA is taking the GMAT.  Ugh.  This is how I feel about that:

In other words; I don’t want to.  I don’t want to study.

But alas, I will study.  I have a little less than 2 months to prepare.

I can do it.

My GMAT review book moved from the closet, to the kitchen table, to my nightstand.

It is getting closer to me which means it may actually get opened in the near future.

Baby steps.
