The Bachelorette

I have not spent much time talking about The Bachelorette on here (if at all) mainly because I haven’t had much time to talk about anything on my Blog.

ABC managed to wrap me in again by doing what they do best.  Picking my most beloved contestant from a prior season and making them the next Bachelorette/Bachelor.  Dang you ABC (but at the same time kudos ABC, you know what you’re doing).

This year Ali is our lady out looking for love.  And I love Ali.  She seems like someone I could really hang out with and have a good time.  I can’t help but crack up every time I see her getting a little tipsy on one of her dates or at a rose ceremony.  She doesn’t hold back.  She is who she is.

We are almost to the end of Ali’s journey and yet all I keep thinking is “Dang you Frank, what do you do?!”  The previews for the last couple weeks revealed to us who would be in the Final 3 but also revealed that Frank definitely does something that Ali is not happy with (cue major crying scene in Tahiti).  So while I am drawn into the season I am somewhat annoyed that I have known what is going to happen for the past couple of weeks.  Or maybe not?  Maybe ABC is totally trying to throw us off, bring Frank back, and they will end up living happily ever after?

I hope not.  I liked Frank.  Now I think Frank is somewhat, well, whiny.  Although I guess I can’t blame the guy for having reservations about the whole thing.  He seems like the only one aware of the fact that there are many others going after Ali’s heart and he could completely end up heart broken.  But still, he needs to stop complaining all the time and enjoy the time he has with Ali.

With all of that being said, I am going for Chris.  My gut says she will pick Roberto due to her lust for him but I REALLY want her to pick Chris.  How cute was their at home date?  It looked so incredibly comfortable and natural.  And I completely loved the quote on their bracelets, “Love is the only reality”.  Perfect.  Come on Ali, pick Chris!  Do it for me!

But most likely you will not.  Then Chris will be the next Bachelor.  And ABC will win by pulling me into another season.

The countdown really begins…

Tomorrow I will get on a plane much like this one

and I will head to Vegas to start my wedding activities in the form of my bachelorette party.  While in Vegas I will celebrate the “3 months until my wedding mark” out and about on the strip.

I am very excited about this trip for many reasons.  One, it has been planned for months and I get anxious waiting for things.  Two, because it’s a vacation in general.  And three, because I get to go with some great girls.

However, there are many other great girls who will not be joining us on this trip.  Am I bummed?  Yes.  But it was realized very early on that if I invited everyone I wanted to the group would be VERY large.  And that just doesn’t work well for a long weekend vacation/bachelorette party in Vegas.  I discussed my doubts about this with some friends this past winter (who will not be coming sadly) and they even stated it would be best to invite only those who were a part of the wedding.

So that is what we did.  Tomorrow I will get on a plane with my Maitron of Honor, bridesmaids, and personal attendant.  We will meet my Maid of Honor in Vegas.  We will get in a limo and head to our condo where the crazy weekend will begin.  And all of you who will not be there, you will be missed.  I promise you that.

Let the countdown begin!

The Bachelor

Ever since Deanna’s season I swore I wouldn’t watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette again.

Then Jason was announced as the Bachelor.  I loved him so I watched.  I loved Melissa and was happy he picked her.  Then he got rid of her and I swore I wouldn’t watch it again.

Then Jillian was announced as the next Bachelorette and I changed my mind. (And Melissa married a super cute guy and all ended well).

Then Jake was announced as the next Bachelor.  I didn’t love him on Jillian’s season but thought “Hey, maybe he won’t be so bad”.  So I watched it again.

I fell in love with Ali on the first night of Jake’s season.  I adore her for wearing yellow so often and looking great in it each time.

I continued to love Ali.  Then Ali left.

Then Jake picked Vienna which made me once again think “I am never going to watch this show again for any other season”.

Then right after Ali is announced as the next Bachelorette!

Opinion instantly changed. I LOVE her.  I want to be her friend.  She is so cute, funny, and just so likable.

Looking forward to her season more than any other season.  Looks like I won’t stop watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette anytime soon…
