The Bachelorette
I have not spent much time talking about The Bachelorette on here (if at all) mainly because I haven’t had much time to talk about anything on my Blog.
ABC managed to wrap me in again by doing what they do best. Picking my most beloved contestant from a prior season and making them the next Bachelorette/Bachelor. Dang you ABC (but at the same time kudos ABC, you know what you’re doing).
This year Ali is our lady out looking for love. And I love Ali. She seems like someone I could really hang out with and have a good time. I can’t help but crack up every time I see her getting a little tipsy on one of her dates or at a rose ceremony. She doesn’t hold back. She is who she is.
We are almost to the end of Ali’s journey and yet all I keep thinking is “Dang you Frank, what do you do?!” The previews for the last couple weeks revealed to us who would be in the Final 3 but also revealed that Frank definitely does something that Ali is not happy with (cue major crying scene in Tahiti). So while I am drawn into the season I am somewhat annoyed that I have known what is going to happen for the past couple of weeks. Or maybe not? Maybe ABC is totally trying to throw us off, bring Frank back, and they will end up living happily ever after?
I hope not. I liked Frank. Now I think Frank is somewhat, well, whiny. Although I guess I can’t blame the guy for having reservations about the whole thing. He seems like the only one aware of the fact that there are many others going after Ali’s heart and he could completely end up heart broken. But still, he needs to stop complaining all the time and enjoy the time he has with Ali.
With all of that being said, I am going for Chris. My gut says she will pick Roberto due to her lust for him but I REALLY want her to pick Chris. How cute was their at home date? It looked so incredibly comfortable and natural. And I completely loved the quote on their bracelets, “Love is the only reality”. Perfect. Come on Ali, pick Chris! Do it for me!
But most likely you will not. Then Chris will be the next Bachelor. And ABC will win by pulling me into another season.
